If you prospect on LinkedIn every week, you need Sales Navigator: its Core plan costs $99.99 a month and adds advanced lead filters, saved lists, alerts and 50 InMail credits. Premium Business ($69.99 a month, 15 InMails) suits occasional networking, and Premium Career ($39.99 a month, 5 InMails) is built for job seekers.
Below we compare every plan with LinkedIn’s official US prices as of October 2026, explain what each tier actually adds, and show how your choice affects the outreach automation tools you can use.
Key takeaways
- Sales Navigator is LinkedIn’s dedicated prospecting tool, and every Sales Navigator plan includes Premium Business features.
- Premium Career is for job seekers and Premium Business is for professionals who want more visibility and occasional outreach, not systematic prospecting.
- Annual billing cuts costs sharply: Core works out to about $80 a month and Premium Business to about $45 a month when paid yearly.
- Sales Navigator Advanced adds buyer intent signals and team features, while Advanced Plus adds CRM syncing and has no public price.
- Most LinkedIn automation tools work without Sales Navigator, but InMail steps and larger search imports usually require it.
What is the difference between Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Premium?
LinkedIn Premium is a set of individual subscriptions that upgrade your regular LinkedIn account. Premium Career helps you find jobs and stand out to recruiters. Premium Business helps you build credibility, see who viewed your profile and reach a few people outside your network.
Sales Navigator is a separate sales product with its own interface. It is built around finding, saving and tracking leads and accounts, with search filters, lead lists, alerts and CRM integrations that Premium does not offer. LinkedIn states that a Sales Navigator subscription includes access to Premium Business features, so you do not need both.
Sales Navigator vs Premium: plans and prices compared
The table uses LinkedIn’s published US-dollar list prices per license. Prices may exclude taxes, vary by country and change with promotions, so check the checkout page before buying.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | InMail credits | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Career | $39.99/mo | $239.88/yr (about $20/mo) | 5 per month | Job seekers |
| Premium Business | $69.99/mo | $539.88/yr (about $45/mo) | 15 per month | Founders and professionals building visibility |
| Sales Navigator Core | $99.99/mo | $959.88/yr (about $80/mo) | 50 per month | Individual sellers who prospect regularly |
| Sales Navigator Advanced | $179.99/mo | $1,679.88/yr (about $140/mo) | 50 per month | Sales teams that want intent signals and collaboration |
| Sales Navigator Advanced Plus | Not published | Custom quote | 50 per month | Larger teams that need CRM sync and enterprise controls |
LinkedIn also sells Premium All-in-One, which its comparison table lists from $89.99 a month with 30 InMail credits, and a Duo option for Premium Business. Note that LinkedIn’s own pages are not fully consistent: the Sales Navigator comparison table lists Sales Navigator “from $119.99/month”, while the compare-plans page shows Core at $99.99 a month. Treat the checkout price as final.
What do you get with LinkedIn Premium?
Premium Career
Premium Career focuses on job hunting. LinkedIn’s feature page lists top applicant jobs, AI-powered insights on job posts, a way to flag top choice jobs to recruiters, profile writing help, who viewed your profile over the past 365 days, 5 InMail credits a month and access to LinkedIn Learning courses. It has almost nothing for sales prospecting.
Premium Business
Premium Business is aimed at small business owners and professionals. According to LinkedIn, it includes 15 InMail credits a month, unlimited people and company searches, profile viewer insights, a custom call-to-action button on your profile, up to five cover images, and suggestions for warm introductions through your network.
What it lacks is the prospecting layer. LinkedIn’s comparison table marks Premium’s sales search filters as “Limited”, and it does not include lead lists, buyer intent signals or CRM features. It works if you reach out to a few people a week; it becomes frustrating once you need repeatable lead lists.
What do you get with Sales Navigator?
Sales Navigator Core
Core is the entry plan for individual sellers. It includes Premium Business features plus Sales Navigator’s own search with advanced lead and account filters, saved searches and lists, lead and account recommendations, real-time alerts on your saved leads, and 50 InMail credits a month. LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator page also highlights AI features such as Lead IQ and Account IQ summaries.
Sales Navigator Advanced
Advanced is built for teams. LinkedIn’s comparison table says buyer intent signals and related alerts are available only on Advanced and Advanced Plus. TeamLink, which shows warm paths through your colleagues’ networks, and CSV upload are included on Advanced Plus, or on Advanced when bought through a LinkedIn sales representative.
Sales Navigator Advanced Plus
Advanced Plus is the enterprise tier. LinkedIn lists CRM lead and contact creation as available only on Advanced Plus, and the compare-plans page shows no self-serve price, so you buy it through LinkedIn’s sales team. It suits organizations that want Sales Navigator data flowing into Salesforce, Dynamics 365 or HubSpot, plus enterprise license management.
Which plan do you need?
- You are job hunting: choose Premium Career. Sales Navigator adds nothing useful for this.
- You want visibility and a few messages a week: choose Premium Business. Fifteen InMails and profile viewer insights cover light networking and partnership outreach.
- You prospect every week as an individual: choose Sales Navigator Core. The filters, lead lists and alerts save hours, and annual billing brings the cost close to Premium Business monthly pricing.
- You run a sales team and want intent data: choose Sales Navigator Advanced for buyer intent signals and team collaboration.
- You need CRM sync and enterprise controls: talk to LinkedIn about Advanced Plus.
One practical tip: LinkedIn says eligible members can try Premium for free, with eligibility depending on whether you have used a trial in the last 12 months. Test the plan you are considering against your real prospecting workflow before paying for a year.
Is Sales Navigator worth the extra cost over Premium Business?
On list prices, the gap is smaller than it looks. Paid annually, Sales Navigator Core costs $959.88 a year and Premium Business $539.88, a difference of $420 a year, or about $35 a month. Paid monthly, the gap is $30 a month.
For that difference you get more than three times as many InMail credits (50 versus 15) and, more importantly, a search and list-building workflow designed for prospecting. If you spend even an hour or two a week building lead lists by hand, Core’s filters, saved searches and alerts usually justify the cost.
Premium Business is the better value when outreach is occasional. Founders who mainly post content, consultants who need a few warm introductions a month, or anyone who mostly wants profile viewer insights and a stronger profile will rarely use Sales Navigator’s lead tools.
Advanced is a different decision. At $179.99 a month, it costs $80 more than Core on monthly billing. That premium makes sense mainly for teams that will act on buyer intent signals and share lists, not for a solo seller.
Do LinkedIn automation tools need Sales Navigator?
Usually not, but it helps. Most cloud outreach tools accept a search URL from a free LinkedIn account, Sales Navigator or Recruiter. Where Sales Navigator matters is list size and InMail. Remember that LinkedIn’s User Agreement does not allow third-party automation, so any tool carries some account risk, and the Sales Navigator seat is always billed separately by LinkedIn.
Three tools from our reviews make good use of Sales Navigator. For more options, browse our LinkedIn lead generation tools.
Dripify
According to Dripify’s help center, one Sales Navigator search can load up to 2,475 profiles, while free LinkedIn and Recruiter searches are capped at 1,000. Sales Navigator also unlocks Dripify’s InMail step. Plans start at $59 per user per month billed annually. Read our Dripify review.
Expandi
Expandi builds campaign audiences from Sales Navigator search URLs and recommends keeping segments small and targeted, but Sales Navigator is optional. It adds dedicated IPs and if/then sequences for $99 per seat per month. See our Expandi review or compare both in Dripify vs Expandi.
HeyReach
HeyReach imports leads, accounts and saved lists from Sales Navigator, capped at 2,500 leads per import per sender, and its InMail campaigns require every sender to have Sales Navigator or Recruiter. It suits agencies rotating many senders. Read our HeyReach review.
