VerdictHeyReach is one of the best tools for multi-account LinkedIn outreach, with sender rotation and a unified inbox built for agencies. Solo users will find the per-sender price and agency focus less compelling.Expandi pairs flexible if/then LinkedIn and email sequences with strong safety controls like dedicated IPs and warm-up. It costs more than most rivals and has no free plan, so it suits teams more than casual solo users.

Both are cloud-based tools that keep campaigns running when your laptop is closed, and both score 4.5 for features. The difference is focus. HeyReach is built around sender rotation and a unified inbox for dozens of profiles. Expandi is built around conditional “Smart Sequences” that combine LinkedIn and email. The sections below show where each one wins, using the data from our HeyReach review and Expandi review.

HeyReach vs Expandi at a glance

  • Multi-account outreach: HeyReach rotates sending across many LinkedIn senders on one campaign; Expandi is priced per seat and aimed more at individuals and small teams.
  • Sequence logic: Expandi has branching if/then Smart Sequences and A/B testing; HeyReach offers all LinkedIn actions with an “If Connected” condition.
  • Email: Expandi includes email steps in the same sequence; HeyReach needs Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison for email.
  • Price: HeyReach starts at $79 per sender per month; Expandi costs $99 per seat per month, or $79 billed annually.
  • Trial: HeyReach offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card; Expandi offers a 7-day free trial.
  • Scores: HeyReach leads on ease (4.3 vs 4.1) and value (4.2 vs 3.8); Expandi leads on safety (4.2 vs 4.1).

Features compared

Sequences and campaign logic

Winner: Expandi. Expandi’s sequence builder branches on prospect behavior, for example sending a different message when someone accepts a request but does not reply. Its pricing page lists if/then actions, campaign prioritization, step-by-step statistics and A/B testing, and its homepage describes 11 campaign types with unlimited campaigns on the Business plan.

HeyReach covers the core LinkedIn actions on every plan: connection requests, messages, follow-ups, voice notes, profile views and post likes, plus an “If Connected” condition and InMail campaigns. That is enough for most outreach, but it is less flexible than Expandi’s branching logic.

Multiple senders and team workflows

Winner: HeyReach. Sender rotation is HeyReach’s defining feature. You assign several LinkedIn accounts to one campaign and HeyReach auto-rotates through them, with daily limits applied per sender. Team members are free, workspaces and permissions come on every plan, and the Agency plan adds whitelabel.

Expandi also supports multiple accounts and offers agency tools on its custom plan, including roles and permissions, centralized campaign management, client-facing reports and white-label use. But it is priced per seat, and it does not center on rotating one campaign across many profiles.

Email and multichannel outreach

Winner: Expandi. Expandi combines LinkedIn actions and email follow-ups in one sequence, and it says you can connect any email provider. It also integrates with Smartlead for larger cold email programs. Email is a follow-up channel here rather than a full email platform.

HeyReach is LinkedIn-first. Email runs through native integrations with Instantly, Smartlead and EmailBison, so a true multichannel setup usually means a second subscription. That works well if you already use one of those tools, and less well if you do not.

Sales Navigator and lead imports

Slight edge: Expandi. Both tools import leads from Sales Navigator search URLs, and both need your own Sales Navigator seat for that. HeyReach also imports accounts and saved lists, plus leads from Clay, RB2B, HubSpot or CSV, but each import is capped at 2,500 leads per sender, and InMail campaigns require every selected sender to have Sales Navigator or Recruiter.

Expandi treats Sales Navigator as optional, supports InMail and recommends small, targeted search segments. It also says a Sales Navigator subscription can help build account trust and widen limit ranges.

Inbox, CRM and integrations

Split decision. HeyReach’s unified inbox pulls conversations from every connected sender into one place, lets you reply on behalf of colleagues and auto-tags warm leads. It syncs with HubSpot, connects to Clay, n8n, Make and Zapier, and includes an API with webhooks, an MCP server and enrichment credits on every plan.

Expandi’s shared inbox adds labels, tags and notes, with blacklists and duplicate prevention at personal and company level. Its main advantage is native CRM sync with HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. It also offers webhooks, an API, Zapier, Expandi MCP (beta) and paid add-ons for personalized images, GIFs and video. Pick HeyReach for inbox scale and GTM workflows, and Expandi if you live in Salesforce or Pipedrive.

Pricing compared

Plan tier HeyReach Expandi
Free trial 14 days, no credit card, up to 3 LinkedIn accounts 7 days, all features
Entry plan (monthly) Growth: $79/sender/mo Business: $99/seat/mo
Entry plan (billed yearly) $63/sender/mo $79/seat/mo
Agency / teams Agency: $999/mo for 25 senders ($799/mo yearly) Agency: custom quote for 10+ seats
Top tier Unlimited: $2,999/mo ($2,399/mo yearly), 300-sender fair-use cap No separate tier listed

For a single account, HeyReach is cheaper: $79 a month versus $99, or $63 versus $79 on yearly billing. At scale, HeyReach’s bundles change the math. Ten senders on Growth cost $790 a month, so the $999 Agency bundle for 25 senders becomes cheaper per sender well before you reach 25 accounts. Expandi’s agency pricing is a custom quote, so you need to talk to sales to compare.

HeyReach saves 10% on quarterly billing and 20% on yearly billing, and the Growth plan includes a dedicated proxy per sender. Expandi frames annual billing as two months free, but its image, GIF and video personalization cost extra. This is reflected in the value sub-scores: 4.2 for HeyReach and 3.8 for Expandi. LinkedIn account safety compared

No LinkedIn automation tool is risk-free, because LinkedIn’s User Agreement does not allow third-party software that automates activity on the platform. Both tools reduce risk by running in the cloud with a dedicated IP per account, and both score close on safety: 4.2 for Expandi and 4.1 for HeyReach.

HeyReach gives each LinkedIn account a dedicated static residential proxy that is never shared. It recommends 25 connection requests per day by default (40 maximum), caps each sender at 200 per week, and pauses sending in a Cooldown Mode if LinkedIn’s weekly limit is hit. We rate its account safety as Medium. Note that the Agency plan lists “bring your own proxies”, and rotation spreads volume but each profile still carries its own risk.

Expandi assigns a dedicated country-based IP to every account, warms up new profiles automatically and enforces daily limits. The risk comes from pushing it: Expandi markets 300+ connection requests a week and a Mobile Connector campaign type that adds 100 extra requests weekly, but those are ceilings, not safe defaults for a new account. With either tool, start with conservative limits and keep acceptance rates healthy.

Ease of use and setup

HeyReach scores 4.3 for ease of use against Expandi’s 4.1. HeyReach campaigns are mostly linear, and the unified inbox removes the work of logging in and out of LinkedIn accounts. The longer 14-day trial with up to three accounts also gives you more time to test rotation before paying.

Expandi’s branching Smart Sequences are more flexible but take longer to set up well. Its 7-day trial is short, so plan your first campaign before you start it. Some public reviewers also mention billing and support friction with Expandi, which is worth checking during the trial.

Who should choose Expandi?
