Lemlist is a multichannel sales engagement platform that lets sales teams, agencies and founders run cold email, LinkedIn, phone and SMS steps from one sequence, with a built-in lead database and an email warm-up tool called lemwarm. It suits teams whose outbound is email-first but who want LinkedIn touches in the same workflow.
Short verdict: Lemlist is one of the most complete email-plus-LinkedIn tools available, and its deliverability features are a real strength. The trade-offs are cost per seat on the Multichannel plan, credit-based enrichment, and LinkedIn automation that runs through a Chrome extension session rather than a dedicated cloud IP.
What is Lemlist?
Lemlist is a French SaaS company that started as a personalized cold email tool and has grown into a full outbound platform. Today it combines a lead database, email and phone finder, multichannel sequences, a deliverability hub and AI agents in a single web app.
The product is split into two main paid plans. The Email plan covers prospecting, enrichment and email sequences. The Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn automation, SMS, a call dialer and a WhatsApp add-on, which is the plan most LinkedIn users will need.
Public sentiment is strong. On G2, Lemlist holds a 4.6/5 rating from more than 2,300 reviews, with users praising email sending, personalization and deliverability, and the most common complaint being price and credit limits.
Key features
Multichannel sequences (email + LinkedIn)
Lemlist sequences mix email steps with LinkedIn actions such as profile visits, invitations, messages and follows, plus calls and SMS on the Multichannel plan. Steps can branch on conditions, so a lead who accepts a LinkedIn invitation can get a different follow-up than one who opens an email.
This matters because most LinkedIn-only tools treat email as an afterthought. In Lemlist, email is the core channel and LinkedIn is layered on top, which fits teams that already rely on cold email for volume.
Lead database and enrichment
According to Lemlist’s pricing page, every plan includes access to a database of 650M+ leads, plus an email and phone finder. Enrichment runs on credits that draw from 25+ data providers, and Lemlist says credits are charged only for successful results and roll over while the subscription is active.
The catch is volume. The base enrichment add-on gives 2,000 credits per month, which Lemlist equates to about 400 emails or 100 phone numbers. Teams that enrich heavily will need to budget for more credits.
Deliverability and lemwarm
Lemwarm is Lemlist’s warm-up tool. Lemlist says it “automatically exchanges real emails with real inboxes to build your sender reputation,” gradually building sending history so Gmail and Outlook trust a domain before campaigns start.
Lemwarm and a deliverability hub are included in all plans, according to the pricing page. Users on G2 rate email deliverability management as one of Lemlist’s highest-scoring capabilities, which matches its positioning as an email-first tool.
LinkedIn Chrome extension and lead import
LinkedIn is connected through the Lemlist Chrome extension: you log into Lemlist and LinkedIn in the same Chrome profile and complete the connection flow. The same extension imports leads from LinkedIn searches and profiles.
Lemlist’s help center lists import limits of up to 999 leads per import from LinkedIn and up to 2,500 leads from Sales Navigator. Each Lemlist seat can connect only one LinkedIn account, so running several profiles means paying for several seats.
AI agents and personalization
Lemlist built its reputation on personalized cold email, including custom variables and personalized images. The current plans add lemAgent and other AI agents for building campaigns and writing messages, plus MCP and CLI access for technical teams.
G2 reviewers often highlight AI-assisted campaign building as a strength. As with any AI writing tool, output still needs a human review before it goes to real prospects.
Integrations and API
Lemlist’s integrations page lists two-way sync with HubSpot and Salesforce, plus Pipedrive, Attio, Zoho CRM, Close and others. Workflow tools include Zapier, Make and n8n, and an API is included in every plan.
Lemlist pricing
Lemlist offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, covering Multichannel features except in-app calls and including 200 free credits. Paid plans are billed per month, with discounts for quarterly (10%) and yearly (20%) billing.
| Plan | Price | Best for | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| $69/mo, or $55/mo billed yearly | Email-only cold outreach teams | 50,000 emails/month; no LinkedIn, SMS or calls | |
| Multichannel | $109/mo, or $87/mo billed yearly | Teams combining email and LinkedIn | 5 sender addresses per user; one LinkedIn account per seat; WhatsApp is an add-on |
| Enterprise | Custom | Larger sales orgs needing SSO and custom roles | Custom terms; 5+ sender addresses per user |
| Lead data enrichment (add-on) | $20/mo, or $16/mo discounted | Teams finding emails and phones | 2,000 credits/month (about 400 emails or 100 phones) |
| Buying intent signals (add-on) | $29/mo, or $21/mo discounted | Timing outreach on intent | 100 signals/month |

For LinkedIn outreach, the Multichannel plan is the realistic starting point. A team of three LinkedIn senders on yearly billing would need three Multichannel seats before any enrichment add-ons.
Is Lemlist safe for your LinkedIn account?
No automation tool is risk-free on LinkedIn. LinkedIn’s User Agreement does not allow third-party software that automates activity on the site, and Lemlist’s own help center states that “third-party tools cannot influence LinkedIn’s restriction decisions.”
Lemlist’s LinkedIn actions depend on a browser session created through its Chrome extension, rather than a dedicated cloud IP per account. That makes it closer to extension-based tools in risk profile than to cloud tools that isolate each account on its own proxy.
Lemlist does give you controls to stay conservative. You can set daily caps for invitations, profile visits, follows and messages, and turn on an invitation ramp-up that adds a set number of invites per day. Its help center recommends around 20 invites, 30 visits and 30 messages per day for healthy accounts, and notes an observed ceiling of roughly 100 invitations per rolling week.
Two practical points: the ramp-up only covers invitations, so Lemlist advises lowering other actions manually for the first two to three weeks on new accounts. It also recommends not mixing heavy manual activity with automated outreach on the same profile.
Who should use Lemlist?
Good fit
- Sales teams whose outbound is email-first and who want to add LinkedIn touches
- Agencies running cold email at volume that care about deliverability and warm-up
- Teams that want a lead database, enrichment and sequences in one tool
- HubSpot or Salesforce users who need two-way CRM sync
Not a good fit
- LinkedIn-only users who do not send cold email
- Agencies managing many LinkedIn profiles cheaply, since each profile needs its own seat
- Users who want cloud-based LinkedIn automation with a dedicated IP per account
- Very small budgets that need heavy enrichment volume
Lemlist alternatives
Lemlist competes with other multichannel outreach tools and with LinkedIn-first automation platforms. Here is how it compares with three options we cover:
- Reply.io is the closest match: another email-first sales engagement platform with LinkedIn steps, calls and AI features. It is worth comparing if you need a broader sales engagement suite.
- Skylead flips the priority, with LinkedIn as the core channel and email as a supporting step. It suits teams whose main channel is LinkedIn rather than cold email.
- HeyReach is built for agencies running many LinkedIn sender accounts from one workspace. It is a better fit than Lemlist if multi-account LinkedIn outreach is the priority.

How we evaluated Lemlist
This review is research-based: we analyzed Lemlist’s official website, pricing page and help center documentation, along with public user reviews on G2. Inranked has not yet run hands-on tests of Lemlist. We scored it on features (30%), value for money (25%), LinkedIn account safety (25%) and ease of use (20%), following the methodology described on our how we review page.
Final verdict
Lemlist is a strong choice for teams that live in cold email and want LinkedIn as a second channel. Its sequences, lemwarm deliverability tools, 650M+ lead database and CRM integrations cover most of the outbound workflow in one place.
It is less convincing as a pure LinkedIn tool. Per-seat Multichannel pricing, one LinkedIn account per seat and an extension-based LinkedIn connection make LinkedIn-first tools a better fit for teams focused on LinkedIn volume or many profiles. Start with the 14-day trial and test it against your own sequences before committing.
